Barbara Rogers Houseworth This 1950s oil on canvas abstracted portrait is by painter and illustrator, Barbara Rogers Houseworth. Born in 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana she received an education in Fine Arts from Indiana University from 1943-1946, and exhibited at the John Herron Art Museum in Indianapolis. A 1950’s Midwestern housewife, Barbara created her prolific body of work despite the pressures of domestic life and motherhood.
