About This Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Tosa region of Japan. Reactivate charcoal every 2 weeks by boiling it for 10 minutes and letting it dry. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
