About This The aperture of this woodturning Universal Dust Hood measures 230mm x 130mm. This tapers down to a 100mm diameter round spigot. The relatively compact size (overall dept h 230mm) allows the hood to be positioned close to the source of the dust. The articulated bracket system makes it easy to adjust its position for a more targeted extraction and place the hood in the path of flying shavings. The bracket system allows plenty of adjustment, horizontally: side to side and forwards and backwards and vertically: up and down. It is simple to position when turning smaller items or sanding; the closer you can get to the source of the dust the more effective the extraction. It can be fitted to just about any lathe with a flat top bed or with round bed bars. It is supplied with two double sided base plates covering lathes with bed bar gaps of 24mm, 36mm, 48mm and 58mm.
