Barbara Lewis This 1970s watercolor on paper abstract is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the Art Institute of Chi cago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. Circa 1970sWatercolor on Paper 5"x6.75" unframed, 13"x13" framed Estate stamped lower right. Framed in a restored vintage carved wood frame in a walnut finish using antique archival matting with clear spacers behind conservation clear glass. Excellent vintage condition. Show more
