Barbara Lewis This 1969 red and black gestural stone lithograph abstract is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the A rt Institute of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. 1969 Stone Lithograph on Paper 13"x15" image area, 14.75"x19.75" paper size unframed Signed and dated lower right.
