Indonesian psychedelic instrumental band BABON present Tropical Desert, a 10-track vinyl LP on Wonderwheel blending psychedelic funk, Afro-funk and world beat with distinctive Indo nesian roots. Formed in 2023 by Wahyudi T. Raupp, Rayi Raditia and guitarist Rori Jiwa Putra, BABON draw on Keroncong and Dangdut alongside Middle Eastern grooves, Latin rhythms and Spaghetti Western motifs.The band describe this cross-cultural sound as "Tropical Desert" music.
