Our back handspring package is built for those learning or looking to perfect their back handspring. This package is great for individual use at home and with the different pieces of equipment it gives you endless options on what you can do. Each package comprises of an octagonal tumbles (choice from either small, medium, large or x-Large), a tumbling mat (choice of six sizes and four colours), an open shoulder trainer with a pair of sticky toes. Octagonal tumbles:Octagons are used for teaching tumbling or for recreation skills. They help with teaching the beginning and finishing of backwards and forwards skills such as walkovers, front and back handsprings. They also help teach leaps, tick-tocks and over splits. The octagons come in four different sizes depending on the children's age and height and are fun to play with. You can roll over them, jump over them, use them as an obstacle in training skills that need to have height. The largest octagon splits in half to create two developmental shapes that also have lots of uses in the gym. Colours supplied in random. Tumbling mats:The tumbling mats are folding panel mats and are perfect for gymnastics, cheer leading, dance, martial arts, special needs, yoga, pilates, exercise and much more. The mats are great for use at home or at the gym. The tumbling mats are among the highest-quality tumbling mats on the market today. Our tumbling gymnastic mats are made with durable 18oz vinyl as well as industry standard cross-linked polyethylene foam. Each mat is easily transported and folds into easy-to-manage sections for storage at home or at the gym. Each mat offers 60cm wide folding panels in a variety of colours with Velcro on two ends to connect mats end-to-end to create longer mats. The tumbling mats are available in two thicknesses of 3.5cm or 5cm. We recommend that the 3.5cm thick mat used on a soft surface such as carpet and the 5cm thick mat is used on hard surfaces such as wood or concrete. Our tumbling mats are also called panel mats because they fold into 60cm wide panels. The mats are firm to help your kids practice surefooted tumbling. Open shoulder trainer:The open shoulder trainer is a light, padded device that fits around an athlete's shoulder and neck in order to maintain open shoulders needed for skills that move through a handstand. It serves as a gentle reminder for tumblers to keep the proper shoulder position while training. How often do you repeat "keep your shoulders open", every day in your gym. The open shoulder trainer is easy to use and does not allow athletes to drop their shoulders on handstands, cartwheels, round offs, limber over, walkovers and other skills that require an open shoulder technique. The open shoulder trainer is not to be used with restraining devices such as therabands or similar items.Sticky toes:Behaviour modification via Velcro. An easy, inexpensive tool to help athletes keep their feet together. Sticky toes will help athletes perfect new skills much easier. Sticky toes are designed to help the athlete realise when their feet are apart or together. The straps are big enough to go around cheer leading shoes yet small enough to go around a young athletes bare foot. The Velcro sticks together but also safely pulls apart, giving the athlete instant feedback when working skills where feet are required to stay together. The user can feel and hear the Velcro separate, sticky toes are colour coded for easy use, red for right and lemon for left. They are also hand washable and a must have for every athlete in your gym.
