Bacopa amplexicaulis is a bold, fast-growing stem plant known for its broad, rounded leaves that gently clasp the stem as they grow upward. Its coloration ranges from bright green in lower light to warm copper or reddish tones under stronger lighting. With proper conditions, it creates a lush, upright backdrop that adds height and movement to planted aquariums. This species is considered easy to moderate in difficulty. It adapts well to a range of water parameters but truly thrives with stronger lighting and consistent nutrients. In lower light, it will remain greener and grow more loosely; in higher light (with or without CO₂), it becomes more compact and vibrant in color. Like other stem plants, it responds well to trimming—cut and replant the tops to create a fuller, denser grouping.
