Design inspired by the elegant headband used by the women in Salvador do Bahia, Brazil - One of the most charming places I visited, where youngsters gather at sunset in the beaches to dance capoeira and everyone prepares year-round for the huge street party of carnival. This ring is handcrafted by us in California from 14 karat gold filled and sterling silver wires, it is stamped 14K/20. We construct each piece from wires which are shaped into our design, coiled, cut and solder as rings (if you look carefully you may see the soldering joint showing is handmade). As a final step the ring is carefully heat-treated, this last time-consuming step does not add to its beauty, but it allows the ring to remain malleable so it can easily be sized for a perfect fit.
