The ideal first dowel grip (Bailie BDV200). Recommended for first-time grip users Narrower, smaller and softer than standard grips, making them ideal for smaller hands or gymnasts still getting used to guards Softer leather breaks in faster and lets smaller gymnasts keep a fraction more hand on the bar to feel their swing Palm piece approx. 4cm wide (just below the dowel) Velcro closure Sold as a pair PLEASE NOTE: Large 5" towelling wristbands are required with these guards to prevent rubbing and blisters on the wrists. HOW TO SIZE: Measure from the base of the palm (where the wrist creases) to the tip of the middle finger, then match your measurement to the chart below. Size cm Inches XXS 9 to 10cm 3½" to 4" XS 10 to 11.5cm 4" to 4½" SML 11.5 to 13cm 4½" to 5" MED 13 to 14cm 5" to 5½" LGE 14 to 15cm 5½" to 6" Please note: All guards should be checked with your coach before first use to make sure the size is right for you. Guards that have been named, worn or marked can't be exchanged or refunded. Incorrect use of guards may result in serious injury. IMPORTANT WARNING: Replace guards every year, or at the first sign of a tear. If a tear appears, stop using the guards immediately and replace them. The higher the skill level and training hours, the more often guards need replacing. This is for your safety on bars. Never cut the dowel. The leather can expand and this risks an accident. Never use water on your guards. The leather will harden and can snap. If finger holes are too tight, enlarge them slowly with sandpaper. Never use a knife or scissors, and don't make the holes too big, as the guards can slip off.
