Measure the opening of your chiminea at the broadest part and choose the largest size that will fit inside. Our Burn-Tray insert will keep your fire centered and avoid burning against the walls and sides of your chiminea, ensuring that your chiminea will last for years. When the tray wears down over time, it can easily be replaced. Unlike other places, we do not recommend using sand or gravel inside your chiminea, especially in moist regions. Instead, we recommend using red lava rock if a burn tray insert is not available. To ensure the best results, please follow the same burning instructions as a clay chiminea, starting with a slow, small fire.
