Bakelite was a material traditionally used in shades used by flower growers as they could withstand high wattage globes without melting when strung over fields or hung in greenhouses. Please contact us for more information on purchasing these finishes. The shades are 210mm in diameter and 70mm high. The triple arm steel frames are available in black or gold/brass finishes. The five arm frame is available in black. The frame is constructed with high quality steel and features adjustable arms using wingnut screws on the ends. These 180 degrees swivel lamp holders are to adjust shades in the upwards and downwards position. To adjust the lamp holder the wing nut screw needs to be loosened slightly. The lamp holder is not to be adjusted with the wing nut still tightened in place. The steel chandelier is supplied with two poles in the box. Each pole is 400mm in length. During installation, this fitting can be used with 1 pole or 2 poles. This allows drop length choices of 590mm or 990mm. These measurements are approx. from the ceiling to the tip of the lamp holders. If you would like drop lengths greater than 990mm simply contact us to arrange. The multi light pendant attaches to the ceiling via a hook hanger which is secured in the ceiling and then the ceiling cap covers the hole. The lamp holder takes a standard bayonet (B22) light bulb, max 40W.
