What’s included- Sugar Cookies at Grandmas- When my three oldest kiddos were little a big treat before Christmas was visiting Grandma before Christmas Eve to decorate sugar cookies. My mother and the kids would spend all day from early morning to evening making messes and memories making cookies for the family, to share with friends, and for Santa. When we came to relieve Grandma you could smell the beautiful baked scent floating in the air all the way to the car. My kids still talk about those precious moments with Grandma. Buttery, Citrus, Cookie, Nutmeg, Creamy Vanilla, Peru Balsam Sugar Plum Streusel- Visions of sugar plums might dance in some heads but I dream in pastry. Especially on Christmas Eve when the breakfast casserole is prepped and ready to bake first thing in the morning, a sweet danish, pastry, or pan of rolls are ready for the oven to be heated, coffee maker is set, and the smells are already lingering with the scent of cookies and other baked treats. Sugar plum steusel is the perfect addition to any family’s buffet of goodies! Sugared Plums, Warm Flakey Pastry, Spiced Plum Compote, Sweet Cream Cheese, Browned Butter, Drizzled Vanilla Glow Nog- Rudolph’s nose isn’t the only thing glowing this season—Santa’s rosy cheeks might just be from one too many mugs of creamy eggnog! Glow Nog captures that cozy holiday cheer in every flicker and lather, blending the warmth of amaretto, cinnamon, and spiced rum with sweet notes of vanilla, butter, sugar, and cream. Vanilla, Butter, Sugar, Cream Minty Mocha Brew- This is one of Carpie’s favorites! Then again, what kid can resist the scent of minty hot cocoa? This hot cocoa is next level though, mint blended with milk on a layer of light coffee all balanced by vanilla and hot cocoa. True warming comfort on a cold winter day. Creamy Peppermint, Coffee, Hot Cocoa Gretel’s Sugarpath- As Hansel and Gretel wonder deep into the woods exploring Gretel drops crumbs of delicious cookies they brought as a snack. Not only will seeing their path of crumbs lead them home but the sweet smells of peppermint layered on buttercream and perfectly balanced on the scent of homemade gingerbread their noses will lead the way just in time for dinner! Oh no! How will they get home now? As darkness falls, gretel has a plan. He has a secret hideaway using some odd but yummy accents. The scent of spiced cinnamon bark, juicy peaches, coconut, candied ginger, maple syrup, wisteria bloom, warm tonka bean, rich molasses accord, and powdered heliotrope leads them there for a yummy shelter until their family can find and rescue them.
