Our first single-vineyard labeled wine. Minimal intervention lets terroir speak. Bottled unfiltered, aged 15 months on lees before disgorgement, then another 16 months before release. A wine that needs no dosage. Very limited.Vineyard: Exclusively Bald Mountain Vineyard in the Ben Lomond AVA (a monopole) of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Soil is white Zayante — decomposed marine sediment similar to beach sand. Vines planted 30 years ago, own-rooted (no graft). Hanging 3 miles from the Pacific, above the fog line. This was the last year of production from this struggling block.Winemaking: Whole-cluster pressed, clean juice, neutral-barrel fermented with native yeast. 12 months unsulfured on sediment. Traditional method in bottle, 15 months on yeast. Zero dosage. Crown cap closure.Variety: 100% Chardonnay · Vintage: 2019 · Ben Lomond AVA, Santa Cruz Mountains · 12.5% ABV · 852 bottles
