For your consideration, a 1966 Baldwin C1 Custom Professional 2x12 solid-state combo amp with SuperSound. This amp has a vibe. Stainless steel, colorful control-panel splashes, vin yl accent panels, and enough switches and knobs to look like a 1960s organ company decided guitar players deserved a spaceship. We have always loved the way these look, and this is one of the cleanest and most complete examples we have seen in years.The sound is every bit as impressive as the appearance. Big, wide, full, and crystal clear, with loads of headroom and more volume than most people will ever need. It has a huge clean voice that works beautifully with pedals, but the amp has plenty of personality on its own. Willie Nelson has famously used this model for decades, and once you spend a few minutes playing through one, the appeal makes perfect sense.This one is 100% original aside from one replacement speaker dated 1974. It has been fully tested and is functioning as it should, with one minor exception. There is a short somewhere in the original footswitch, so only one of its buttons currently works. It should be a fairly straightforward repair for somebody who wants to dig into it, but the issue does not prevent the amp itself from operating properly.These old Baldwins are not exactly famous for being indestructible, which makes finding a clean, complete, properly functioning example especially satisfying. This one sounds fantastic, looks incredible, and is ready to be enjoyed. The cover is included, as well as a set of original schematics.
