Balinese Long Pepper

The Balinese Long Pepper, a secret ingredient in Indian and Asian food for centuries, is making a comeback. Once prized by the ancient Romans, this small pepper was long forgotten about due to the rise in popularity of the peppercorn. The Balinese Long Pepper has a unique, earthy flavor with a spicy kick and a floral hint. With traces of cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, the Balinese Long Pepper can be used in a variety of dishes. Grind this long pepper using a peppermill, and use it in any dish that black peppercorns could be used. Season sauces and marinades with the Balinese Long Pepper, or use it in glazes for sweeter dishes. Suggested Recipes: Balinese Cauliflower Show more
