The Baltimore Skipjacks were a minor league ice hockey team and was renamed from the Clippers to Skipjacks in 1981. The Skipjacks went on to play the following season in the Atlant ic Coast Hockey League and continued played after for eleven seasons as members of the American Hockey League (AHL), from 1982 until 1993.
