These knitting needles, made from ecologically-cultivated bamboo, are 34 cm long and have a knob at the end. They come in two thicknesses (5 and 6 mm). The thickness refers to the diameter of the needle. Often, children in Grade 1 will learn to knit using 6 mm diameter knitting needles. Some projects that might suit just a touch a slightly finer knit then benefit already in Grade 1 or 2 from a 5 mm thick knitting needle as well. Bamboo needles are known for being very smooth, and with delicately rounded pointed ends to help slip under and through, and pick up the yarn. Please note, price is for one pair of needles.
