A small bamboo tray built to hold a bar of soap up out of its own puddle. The slatted "crate" top lets water run through and away from the bar instead of pooling underneath it, so your bar soap firms back up between uses instead of turning to mush in a sitting puddle. It sits on the edge of a sink, tub or shower shelf and does exactly one job, well, with nothing to plug in, replace or throw out. Why Choose the Bamboo Rectangle "Crate" Soap Dish? Self-Draining Slat Design: The raised, gapped top keeps your bar soap off standing water, helping it last longer between replacements instead of dissolving into the dish. Solid Bamboo, No Plastic: Made from bamboo with no plastic liner, tray or feet — nothing here to end up in a landfill as microplastic. Compact Footprint: At 11.43 cm x 7.62 cm x 2.22 cm, it fits neatly on a sink edge, tub rim or shower shelf without crowding your other bottles. One-Time Buy: A single bar soap habit that used to mean a fresh plastic pump bottle every month now needs just this one dish, bought once. Perfect For Anyone who switched to bar soap or shampoo bars and found their bar turning soft and mushy sitting in a puddle Zero-waste beginners looking for a plastic-free soap holder for the shower that doesn't require batteries, cords or replacement parts Renters and small-bathroom households wanting a compact soap tray that doesn't take up counter space Gift-buyers picking up a simple, useful add-on for someone who already uses bar soap or a shampoo bar Product Specs Specification Details Material Bamboo Dimensions 11.43 cm x 7.62 cm x 2.22 cm (4.5 in x 3 in x 7/8 in) FAQs Is this bamboo soap dish actually self-draining, or does water still pool underneath the bar soap? The rectangular "crate" top is slatted so water runs through and drains away from the bar rather than collecting under it. This keeps the bar soap drier between uses so it doesn't turn soft and mushy sitting in standing water. What size bar soap or shampoo bar fits this dish? The dish measures 11.43 cm x 7.62 cm x 2.22 cm (4.5 in x 3 in x 7/8 in), which comfortably holds a standard bar soap or shampoo bar. It works equally well in a shower, on a sink edge, or on a tub rim. What is the soap dish made of, and is it plastic-free? It's made entirely from bamboo, with no plastic liner, feet or tray anywhere in the design. It arrives with no packaging at all, so there's no plastic wrap or box to throw out. How do I clean a bamboo soap dish, and will it mould over time like other wood dishes? Rinse it and let it air dry fully between uses, standing it on its edge if possible so both sides can dry — trapped moisture is what causes mould in any wood dish, bamboo included. Wipe it dry after a shower if it tends to stay damp in your bathroom. Can this soap dish be used for anything other than bar soap? Yes — its flat, slatted top works just as well as a small tray for a shampoo bar, a konjac sponge, or even jewellery and small bathroom items you want off the counter. It's a single, simple shape that adapts to whatever you set on it.
