The pack is tied together with string to create a zero-waste packaging system. The soft bristles are made from a base of castor bean oil (and produced here in the United States). The handle is made from certified 100 percent organic bamboo (CERES of Germany). The wrapper around the toothbrush is plant-based and home compostable. The box encasing the toothbrush is made from paper; no tape or glue is used. The toothbrushes are certified biobased by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
