The Blue Java Banana is a fast-growing subtropical variety valued for its robust growth habit and distinctive blue-green fruit when young which matures to yellow. It produces large , broad leaves and strong pseudostems, making it suitable for gardens and sheltered outdoor positions. In warm, frost-free conditions, plants develop flowering stems that produce creamy, sweet bananas.
