Designed by Frama Studio, The Bar Chair 01 is inspired by the chairs commonly found in Nordic churches since the early 20th century. Originating in the UK before being imported to Scandinavia, this style of round-nosed wooden seating epitomises the democratic ideals that defined modern design. Frama has endeavoured to capture this democratic spirit by creating a useful object that is at home in a wide range of residential and commercial interiors.Constructed with premium-grade and locally sourced Baltic Birch, the joints of Bar Chair 01 are intentionally left exposed as an expression of the chair's traditional method of production. Finished with organic hard wax and oils, each bar chair is intended to develop a naturally unique wood patina as it ages.The backrest ensures that it is suited for longer periods of sitting. The addition of a footrest also provides extra comfort. The Bar Chair 01 is versatile and provides simple seating for any bar or kitchen environment. It is available in two heights, 65 cm or 76 cm tall and comes in two different finishes. The stool is also available without a back with the Frama Bar Stool 01. Show more
