A braided wool runner is a narrow area rug constructed from interlaced wool strips that form a flat, textured surface ideal for hallways and entryways. The hand-braided technique creates a durable, reversible rug with natural insulation and soundproofing properties. What You Get With the Rhody Rug Bar Harbor Runner 100% Virgin Wool Construction -- Hand-crafted in the USA using premium virgin wool for soft texture and long-term durability. Reversible Design -- Flip the runner to distribute wear and extend lifespan in high-traffic areas. Space-Dyed Multicolor Patterns -- Six colorways blend multiple tones to disguise daily dirt and spills. Natural Insulation -- Thick wool fibers reduce noise and provide warmth on hardwood or tile floors. Four Runner Lengths -- Choose from 2' x 4', 2' x 6', 2' x 8', or 2' x 10' to fit your space precisely. Which Runner Size Fits Your Hallway? Measure your hallway length and subtract 12-18 inches to allow clearance at doorways. For galley kitchens, the 2' x 8' or 2' x 10' lengths provide full coverage while maintaining 3-6 inches of floor border on each side. How Does the Bar Harbor Runner Complement Your Home? The multicolor braided patterns pair with transitional and farmhouse interiors, working alongside living room rugs and area rugs in adjacent spaces. Coordinate with neutral furniture and natural wood finishes for cohesive flow through hallways and connecting rooms. Where Should You Place a 2-Foot-Wide Runner? Position the runner in hallways 36-48 inches wide to leave 6-12 inches of floor visible on each side. In kitchens, center the runner parallel to counters and appliances, ensuring at least 18 inches of clearance for cabinet doors and drawers to open freely.
