A bright, abstract and expressionist of a leafless tree in exciting pink and orange fall tones. Signed (illegible) and dated (1955). This unknown painter masters the art of impasto : neatly placed vertical strokes from his palette knife form the trunk and arms of a tree, and the heaps of fallen leaves. The painting is surface cleaned and comes with a complementary, well-suited gilded vintage wood frame. Both painting and frame may show some age-related wear and tear, which largely contributes to their charm.
