This classic oak drop-leaf table has been fully refurbished, giving it a fresh new look whilst maintaining its traditional charm. Also known as a "Gate Leg" table, there is a hinged leg on each side of the table that can be folded away, allowing the "leaf" above it to drop down, reducing the amount of space the table takes up. The oak top provides plenty of space for resting a cup of tea and a reading lamp making it perfect for sitting next to a favourite armchair. Alternatively, it would be just as at home in a hallway giving place to a vase of flowers and a photo of loved ones. We have lovingly restored this piece by stripping back the original darker finish and applying a clear lacquer, to bring out the rich natural tones of the oak and to give a hard-wearing finish. This drop leaf table is made entirely of oak. There are a few marks and stains on the table top due to its years of faithful service. These are minor cosmetic imperfections and just add to the overall character of the piece. We have shown these in the photographs.
