Vines aged 20 to 50 years, Guyot trained, yielding 8 tons per hectare. Hand-harvested in October. Traditional fermentation in stainless steel with daily pump-overs over the cap for at least 30 days, extending to 40 days in the best vintages. Aged 24 months in 25 hl French oak casks, then 12 months in bottle before release. Brick-red with orange highlights. Coffee, tobacco, vanilla, and red berries on the nose, with violets and roses. Imperious, powerful, elegant, smooth, and mouth-filling on the palate. 15% ABV. From Camparo, the Drocco family estate in Diano d'Alba, certified organic since 2000 and one of the very first certified organic Barolos in Piemonte. Decant or open at least an hour before serving.
