For OG Tonic fans. There’s firm tannins, there’s savouriness, there’s a generous whack of charm – Mataro is back. Mataro is where it all began. I love this grape variety as it embo dies everything I look for in a red wine. Red to purple fruits, a gamey, savoury edge, firm structural tannin but can embrace a feeling of real charm. The winemaking is the same as our Tonic Grenache: hand-picked, some whole bunch employed in fermentation for perfume and that savoury something.
