Barramundi are a big totem for Pormpuraaw. We catch many in our rivers and sea. They can grow extremely large. They are delicious to eat especially when we cook them on the coals o f a fire on the beach. When we catch a big one we love to share it with all our families and friends. This sculpture is made with the back bones of a large Barra.
