THE INSTRUCTOR ROLE The Barre Code is an efficient & results driven fitness program, centered around the pillars of cardio, strength, restoration & female empowerment. The Barre Code Chicago is seeking a dynamic & passionate professional to join our team. As an instructor for The Barre Code, you have the opportunity to directly impact our client’s lives. You not only get to help clients challenge and find new levels of potential within the studio; you get to help them build & strengthen their mental & physical strength outside of studio. Finally, should it be on your path, you may have the exciting opportunity to develop your leadership & coaching skills through The Barre Code’s intensive Trainer Training program. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Teach 2 – 6 classes per week · Be an authentic version of yourself to help support the studio’s membership sales · Be an ambassador for The Barre Code’s mission in your community · Be a team player & contribute to the studio’s positive vibes QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Skills: · Possess body awareness & demonstrate exercises with great form & technique · Possess ability to move to & hear the beat of the music · Ability to meet the physical demands of instructing a fitness class EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · Must hold & maintain a current CPR Certification through the duration of employment · Current Fitness Certification (NASM, ACE, or similar) is a plus · Dance experience is a plus · That’s it! We teach you everything else you need to know! COMPENSATION: • Flat Class Rate • Bonuses/Incentive based on Performance TRAINING UPDATE 5.1.24 We are prepping for a Spring/Summer Barre training - dates TBD but we will likely start in June with May auditions. Costs: We've cut the cost in half to incentivize everyone since this will be a pretty quick turnaround for auditions and training to start. 😉 We have payment plan options if you cannot pay the $750 in full! Payment Options: Pay in full. Use Shop Pay Installments (in partnership with Affirm) will allow you to split the payments up over time. We can work out a deal specific to you where you offer up your first classes in lieu of payment. Potential scholarships! (Note that on the Job Opportunities Form) Training Time Investment Estimate: Self Study for 3 weeks prior to in-person sessions - 15-20 hrs Take 10 Barre classes In-Person Sessions either evenings or weekends - 12-16 hrs (6-8 sessions at 2 hrs each - if you're picking up on this REALLY quickly, they may be shorter than 2 hrs) HW after in-person sessions - 8-10 hrs 1 Mock Class & Review - 90 mins TOTAL: 37 - 48 hrs estimated time. Time may vary per person based on how much you need to practice on your own.
