Missouri SiB+Batch S15.24104.5pf, 52.25% ABV What the heck is a "SiB+"? This term was coined by Barrel King to describe their unique process of blending and bottling. When you've f ound that almost ideal barrel, why use it in a blend when you can use just add a small amount of another barrel to fine-tune it to perfection? In this case, the Barrel King team thought this 11yr 36% rye Indiana Bourbon just needed a splash (1 gallon or less) of a 9yr bourbon to bring some brightness. 11-year, 36% rye MGP single barrel with one gallon or less of 9-year, 36% rye MGP added prior to bottling NOSEA savory nose on this one. The oak and barrel char are doing something special here. It's not a BBQ sauce scent but there are similar notes. PALATEThis SIB carries a little more age on the palate than some others. The saucy notes do carry into the palate well and I think this one will be a great end of summer sipper. FINISHThis is the part that really completes the picture. The char pushes well into the palate and really gives the savory body that cookout finale. Show more
