Direct replacement for 4 String precision bass® Excellent for a wide range of styles Open top end while retaining solid, warm lows More output than Bartolini's original series FREE SHIPPING IN THE USA EXPERT TECHNICAL SUPPORT IN STOCK MEANS IN STOCK DESCRIPTION Bartolini’s Classic P Bass® pickups have enhanced treble response and narrower apertures for more incisive attack and focused sound without harshness. They retain the warmer fuller, low end of P Bass® pickups but still provide an appreciably increased tonal range in active or passive instruments, with higher output than their Original series. We often hear from bass players after upgrading who say they had no idea their bass could sound so good. When you dig in, they are responsive and growly. When you pull back, they are clear and sweet. And they’ll take any slapping and popping you want to give them. The Classic Bass series is popular with progressive, jazz, gospel, and metal musicians where articulation is critical. They are sweat-proof and won’t crackle and thud when you touch them or hit them with the strings. If you play a wide variety of music, you know you need some pro-level pickups, but you don’t want to do a big upgrade project, Classic Bass pickups are a great choice. They are passive and will work with your current electronics in most basses. Artists: Elias Tona, Lou Castro, Nenad Vasilic, Matt Hayes, Willie “Coot” O. The 8CBP is excellent across the tonal range. It happens to be the pickup that I currently have in my main bass (Brian). I recall when the Classic Bass series of pickups came out in the mid 2000s. Lots of players gravitated to these because they wanted the Bartolini tone but with a slightly brighter top end than was heard with their Bart’s deep tone pickups. This pickup, while having some added top end, does not sacrifice much, if anything to the low end. Still strong, pleasing lows and low mids that Bartolini’s are known for. The upper mids and treble range is more present in this pickup compared to the 8S. It is certainly not too hot in the top end, but very pleasing. Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself. As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
