Bartolini’s b-axis offering for P bass is quite interesting. The b-axis PB4 has a really wide frequency feel to it. The pickup has a broader tone than a traditional P, will a little less mid range. Comparing to a couple other outstanding offerings, it has a little more brightness compared with the Nordstrand NP4V, and a bit less low mid push than the LeCompte Triple Threat. Excellent full range pickup. Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself. As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
