Fired pieces also accept a variety of patinas, like liver of sulfur, for unique finishes. Aureus™ Bright Bronze Clay - This clay offers working qualities similar to Cyprus, though it feels slightly less elastic in lump form. It can be co-fired with Cyprus, making it ideal for mixed metal designs. Aureus fires to a beautiful antique bronze color that can be enhanced with patinas for darker, richer tones. It is very strong post-sintering, producing sturdy, durable pieces. The clay sands and carves smoothly in the greenware phase and provides a nice long working time, allowing for detailed sculpting and design.
