Designed by Arjan Van Dal, the Base Vase Blue is part of the Family of Vases, a collection inspired by an original series of vases designed by Sir Terence Conran in the 1990s. This series marks the first time the London-based potter has worked on a large-scale production, having previously focused on one-off pieces. The resulting Family of Vases collection features curved, architectural silhouettes designed to catch the light and cast soft shadows, with tonal variations that emphasise their sculptural nature. Materials & Finishes:Made in Portugal from earthenware, each vase is slip-cast from Arjan’s original hand-thrown masters made in his North London Studio. The collection spans 21 distinctive vases across nine complementary hues, each designed to be displayed individually or as a collected series.
