Basic is the entry point in the Baseboarders range: the same panel profile and the same lifetime warranty as the rest, in four standard lengths and at the lowest price of any line. Intended for hydronic — hot water — baseboard heaters. Electric baseboard heaters run at a higher surface temperature, so take care before fitting a cover to one. When using any electrical appliance, follow basic precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury. Goes Over What Is There The cover hangs on the heater’s existing back plate. The element stays where it is, the pipework is untouched, and the old dented front simply disappears. Lowest Price In The Range At every length Basic shares with the other lines, it is the least expensive — about 20 percent under Premium and about a third under Elliptus. Galvanized Steel Steel rather than aluminum or plastic, so it takes knocks from a vacuum or a chair leg without denting the way a thin original front does. Paint It If You Want Ships in a semi-gloss white powder coat that suits most trim as it is, and takes paint if you would rather match it to the wall. Lifetime Warranty The same lifetime warranty Baseboarders puts on its Premium and Elliptus lines. Paying less here does not buy you less cover. Add Only What You Need End caps, couplers and a wall bracket are added in Custom Options above, so a single straight run costs no more than the panel itself. Sizing Four standard lengths. Every panel is the same height and depth — only the length changes — so a long wall is made up from several panels joined with couplers. Panel length In feet Depth × height 36" 3 ft 3-1/8" × 6-3/4" 48" 4 ft 3-1/8" × 6-3/4" 60" 5 ft 3-1/8" × 6-3/4" 72" 6 ft 3-1/8" × 6-3/4" Need a length that is not on this list, or a panel cut to a specific size? Call 888-622-4225 or email [email protected] — custom cuts are not orderable from this page. In the room Accessories Three accessories are added in Custom Options above, alongside the panel. Basic accessories fit Basic panels only — they are not interchangeable with the Premium, Premium Tall or Elliptus lines. Closed end capfrom $23.95 Couplerfrom $18.95 Wall bracketadd $3.95 End caps — left and right Close off the end of a run where the copper pipe turns down into the floor or back into the wall. Left and right are defined as your left and right while facing the heater. A run that finishes at a wall on both ends needs one of each. Couplers Overlap the joint where two panels butt together, so a wall longer than 6 ft reads as one continuous run. Count one coupler for each joint — three panels in a row need two. Wall bracket For new construction, or where the heater’s original back plate has been removed or is shorter than 7-1/4". The bracket carries the panel instead. It is the one accessory that fits every Baseboarders panel, not just Basic. An end cap closing the end of a run Corners are not orderable from this page. If your run turns a corner, call 888-622-4225 or email [email protected] before you order the panels, so the corner pieces and the panel lengths can be worked out together. Which Baseboarders line? All four lines are galvanized steel in semi-gloss white with a lifetime warranty. What separates them is the range of lengths, the height, and the shape of the face. Line Height Lengths Basic (this one) 6-3/4" 3, 4, 5, 6 ft Premium 6-3/4" 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ft Premium Tall 8-3/4" 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ft Elliptus 6-3/4" 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ft Choose Premium if you need a 2 ft or 7 ft panel, Premium Tall if your existing heater is taller than a 6-3/4" cover will hide, and Elliptus if you want its curved face rather than the flat profile shared by the other three. Otherwise Basic does the same job for less. More on the range at the Baseboarders brand page.
