However; they are quite different from knitted socks, crochet produces thicker fabric than knitting, therefore resulting in a bulkier sock, which is just perfect to wear around the house and in your wellies or walking shoes. This is a step-by-step tutorial for a toe-up sock with short row heel (my favourite!) the sock is crocheted using an amazing stitch called linked half treble (US linked half double crochet) which produces a wonderful fabric (picture tutorial for this stitch is included in the pattern).
