“My jumper is ‘marled’. I only learned this word when I brought it in, and I repeated back ‘marbled’ until she casually corrected me. How the mending perfectly matches all the colo urs at once is beyond me. It’s called ‘degradé’ apparently, which also sounds like ‘degraded’. All so foreign to me.
