This differentiated game helps your students practice Product Rule, Power Rule, and Quotient Rule with single-variable expressions. This format is great for getting your class really comfortable with the basic Laws of Exponents before introducing more difficult Exponent Rules. Three card sets are included. There are three different difficulty levels as well. You won't regret this purchase! - My students love to play Exponents War! It is super engaging, they have to work together to confirm or deny each person's value of their card, and then they ask questions when they are not sure. I have at least 3 versions that I use: The first time is the high value wins. The second time the low value wins(like golf). Then the third time I let them have 4 cards in their hand and they get to choose which one to play. We usually play in 5 min timed rounds, stop, count and give prizes for each round(candy, stickers, etc). They get competitive and excited to do lots of math problems in only 5 min increments. - I used this for extra practice with my students as we worked through different exponent properties, and added the differentiated sets as they learned rules. This was a great, low-prep activity that is engaging for students and really helps them to practice these skills. - This resource was a great tool to engage my students in practicing ideas that they have already learned in prior years.
