Basic Language Skills: Introduction is the cornerstone of Neuhaus's Dyslexia Specialist Preparation Program and one of the most comprehensive Structured Literacy courses we offer. Through in-depth coursework and an intensive supervised practicum, you will learn to plan, deliver, and measure instruction for students with dyslexia and related disorders. Your training spans the full range of literacy: phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, oral language, comprehension, and composition, so you can meet struggling readers wherever they are. Scholarships may be available for self-paying educators in the greater Houston area. Details are shared during the preview sessions.
