For home growing, we recommend Chaiyo Universal Substrate as a suitable potting base. If your growing area is more humid, shaded, low-airflow, or the media stays wet for too long, add Perlite 2–4mm or French Bark Nugget 8–15mm to improve drainage and airflow. Adjust watering based on sunlight, airflow, heat and humidity. Basil Lettuce Leaf enjoys consistent moisture, but the media should not stay soggy.
