This lovely basil oil (Basil de Grasse) has a high methyl chavicol count which makes it more anisic than the linalool rich type. Basil was used to great effect in Eau Sauvage (ct L inalool) and Brut (ct Methyl Chavicol), demonstrations formulas of which are both below. Basil oil blends extremely well with Suralette™ Extra, Canthoxal and most other herbal notes. It is particularly popular in mens fragrances.
