The flag of the Basque Country, known as the ikurrina, features a white cross over a green saltire (diagonal cross) on a red field. Designed in 1894 by Luis and Sabino Arana, it serves as the official flag of the Basque Autonomous Community in Spain and an unofficial symbol for the broader Basque cultural region (Euskal Herria).
