This is a wonderful pepper with a fruity aroma and smoky notes. Appreciated by chefs for good reason: versatile and uniquely flavorful. Milled from peppers grown on our farm, this variety is referred to as the "champagne" of peppers for its protected designation of origin status. Hence why we choose not to label it as "Espelette."
