Long associated with storytelling, protection, and ancestral presence, these masks inform the spirit of each piece. Handcrafted from natural raffia and embroidered with imagery translated directly from ANYANGO's original paintings, every bag is created by hand and no two are ever exactly alike. Variations in the weave, embroidery, and finish are celebrated as part of each bag's unique character. The Bastet Bag takes its name from the Egyptian goddess Bastet, one of the most beloved figures of the ancient world. Associated with protection, joy, and feminine power, she represents a strength that is both gentle and enduring, expressed through wisdom, beauty, and grace.
