A south or south-east facing position is ideal, giving The Roost the warmth it needs throughout the day. Avoid placing it near bright lights, which can disrupt bats’ natural nocturnal rhythm. Why it matters Bats are vital to ecosystems, but their roosting sites for bats are on the decline due to habitat loss and changes in building structures. The Roost offers them a crucial place to rest and raise their young. Every BtBx is handcrafted by RAW Oxford, a social enterprise supporting people who are rebuilding their lives after facing difficult circumstances. By choosing The Roost, you’re bringing nature closer whilst backing brighter futures. It’s a choice that feels good for your garden, the planet and the community.
