Simply Enter Another World We take a short stroll from the city centre, onto the skyline hills above Bath and beyond, through miles of meadows, ancient woodlands and secluded valleys. A variety of beautiful views meet us from this 10 mile walks' elevated position, offering a new perspectives of Bath, nestled among tree-lined hills. The contrast of the city below, so close to this rural haven, enhances the sense of tranquillity above an elegant city full of traditional heritage, contemporary culture, green spaces and lots of surprises. After our green hilltop circuit, the route brings us back into this historic Roman and Georgian spa city via its spectacular river. As we will see, Bath is famous for its hot springs, Roman period baths, Medieval heritage and stately Georgian architecture. Listed as a World Heritage Site, both in its own right in 1987 and as one of 11 “Great Spa Towns of Europe” in 2021. The City of Bath and its surrounding countryside has been described as one of England’s most beautiful places to both visit and go walking. Please check your accommodation's policy. Livestock: If encountered do not walk too close or get between a cow and calf. If threatened, let go of your dog so it can escape and reduce the risk to yourself. Public rights of way: please keep to them and respect the landowner’s property at all times. Stiles: are often present on the route to negotiate on this type of walk. Countryside walking: can often include hills and uneven terrain. Our group ethos is to support everyone in group to achieve their maximum potential in terms of completing the route. As such, we endeavour to walk at a pace all participants are comfortable with.
