Perched atop the cliffs near Howick, sits Earl Grey's Bathing house, a stone retreat built above a secret cove. Beneath it, rock pools gather at every tide, small shifting worlds of colour and movement, alive for only a moment before the sea returns. These fleeting worlds inspired Bathing pools, our first release in the Restless Coast collection. This coffee comes from the Aponte Indigenous reserve in Nariño, Colombia, where farmers have pioneered honey processing and careful work allows for the coffee to dry slowly, unlocking layers of flavour as complex and alive as the Bathing pools. In the cup, this coffee shines with cherry brightness and syrupy depth of caramelised fruits and panela sweetness, somehow feeling vibrant but clean. It’s a coffee that feels coastal, bright, shifting and full of hidden detail like the pools below the bathing house.
