The product should be kept dry; do not wash before use. Here are some care tips to maintain peak performance. You may dry under the sun once every 1 to 4 weeks or when needed. For a deep clean, remove the ceramic blocks from the plate and boil the ceramic blocks in boiling water for 15 to 30 minutes. Additionally, you may add 1 tablespoon of sodium percarbonate. Leave blocks under direct sun until completely dry. The ceramic blocks are made up of fine pores, make sure it is sufficiently dry before use. To speed up the drying process, you can place the ceramic blocks inside the microwave for 2½ minutes, or oven for 5 minutes. (Please note that oven/microwaving with trapped soap oil and dirt may leave burn marks on the ceramic block). Do not microwave the plastic plate.In case of stubborn algae or stains, gently scrub with a sponge or fine-grit sandpaper to remove them.Even broken ceramic pieces retain their properties.
