Batik is a wax-resist technique for producing designs and patterns on fabric. Wax is applied to the fabric with a brush, tjanting tool, electric batik pen or stamp prior to dyeing to keep the color from reaching the fiber. After coloring, the wax is removed.Jacquard Batik Wax is a 75/25 blend of paraffin and beeswax. It has better adhesion to fabric, less brittleness than paraffin alone and is easier to remove from the fabric than pure beeswax.
