The Murphy Door® battery backup is an option for our Electromagnetic Lock. It is not a stand-alone product.This battery backup is a necessity to keep your door securely locked when power goes out. The same power that keeps your Electromagnetic Lock, keeps this battery charged for when it is needed. When the power goes out, the power will keep your Electromagnetic Lock functioning for up to 72 hours.This replaces the standard power supply that is usually shipped with the Electromagnetic Lock.Murphy Door® recommends a licensed and trained electrician whenever wiring is involved.
